XKit represents a set of tools that should make blogging fun and easier on Tumblr. It’s a browser extension that can be downloaded for Chrome, Safari and Firefox. The extension activates when you head to Tumblr.com and log in. With this extension framework, you can block posts you dislike, save fan mail to outbox, theme your dashboard, shorten posts, quickly reblog posts, mute people you dislike, etc. These are functionalities Tumblr doesn’t provide natively. Originally made for desktop browsers, XKit is now also available as an iOS app that supports both iPad and iPhone.
